WOW! What an amazing start to the Autumn term, Year 5 have really demonstrated their amazing work rate and this has shown in the quality of work. I am sure that Year 5 will continue this throughout the year and we look forward in showing you the range of activities we have planned.
We will have PE on Thursdays. Please ensure children have the appropriate clothing and footwear as when the weather is on our side we will be outside.
If you need any support with this, please come and see me.
Homework will go out on a Monday every other week and ensure that the children can demonstrate the skills that they have started to develop in school in their reading and maths. If you are ever unsure with the homework that has been set, please get in touch so we can go through it together.
We encourage the children to read at home as much as possible so they become fluent and really understand their books. When they read to you at home, please note this down in their journals and send to me on Class Dojo. If your child has read independently using a text from home, try and ask them questions from the comprehension sheet so that together we can build confident readers who really enjoy reading!
The following home learning tasks will be useful if you need to self-isolate as a family. Your child can work through these tasks over the coming weeks. If your child has an interest in a particular area, or wishes to take one of the projects in a different direction, we would love to see it at school when they return.
Thank you - Mr Culpin
