Year 3 is a fantastic and exciting year full of wonderful opportunities as the children begin their learning journey into key stage two. I am looking forward to supporting your child during these new learning opportunities. We’ve had a great first half term so far in year 3 settling into key stage two and everyone has shown a great enthusiasm and love for learning. Now we are ready for the year ahead and all the learning that comes with it!
Your child will receive their homework on Class Dojo every other Monday. If you are ever unsure on the homework, please come and see me so we can discuss this.
We encourage reading as much as possible. Reading is both fantastic and important so we need to try and read as much as we can. It helps to build confident writing skills, improves our comprehension understanding, expands our vocabulary and develops our imaginations. You can upload comments and questions about your child's reading through Class Dojo.
This half term we have PE on Thursdays. Please make sure children arrive in their kit which should be suitable for outdoor PE.
The following home learning tasks will be useful if you need to self-isolate as a family. Your child can work through these tasks over the coming weeks. If your child has an interest in a particular area, or wishes to take one of the projects in a different direction, we would love to see it at school when they return.
