Vision and Aims
At Woodcote Primary School, we rise to the challenge and aspire to be the best that we can be.
Everyone has skills and talents that deserve to be celebrated;
Everyone has the opportunity to shine;
Everyone has areas that could be developed further;
Everyone has the right to learn and the responsibility to try their best;
Everyone is an individual and deserves to be treated with respect.
It’s our responsibility to help you along the journey of development and discovery.
Pastoral provision is a strength of the school. Adults form strong partnerships with pupils. Pupils feel safe and well cared for. They say that there is always someone to talk to if they have any worries. School leaders ensure that effective support is in place for pupils who may struggle to manage their own emotions - Ofsted November 2022
This year our key focus is to continue to have higher expectations and aspirations for all children.
We want our children to be positive and aim high – believing and achieving!
Other focused areas will feed into this, for example:
- Giving all children the opportunity to deepen their knowledge and understanding, ensuring that gaps is learning are addressed and higher level learning opportunities are continuously built into lessons, so that everyone can achieve their potential.
- Continuing to develop teaching and learning in English and Maths, through having continuity and a consistent approach across the school
- Supporting staff development and ensuring a clear succession plan to allow consistency and continuity for the children.
- Building upon positive parental relationships and encouraging engagement in learning.
