Welcome to the Woodcote Primary School Parents, Teachers & Friends Association (PTFA)

This page aims to give you information about the PTFA and the activities and fundraising events that will be coming up throughout the school year.

What is the PTFA?

Our PTFA is a group of dedicated parents that meet regularly to organise events and fundraising activities to support the school. Over the years they have raised thousands of pounds, which have been spent on improving equipment and resources to enhance our children's education. The PTFA raise funds by hosting and organising events such as discos, Christmas and Summer fairs, cake sales, pumpkin competitions and many more! The PTFA hold regular meetings to plan events and discuss how the money raised could be best put to use.

How can I be involved in the PTFA?

There are many ways you can be involved in supporting Woodcote and the PTFA. You don't have to come to every meeting or give up hours of your time to make a positive difference to your child's education. Sometimes it's a case of serving tea and coffee for half an hour, or making a poster to advertise a quiz. A few ideas of how you can help are:

  • Sharing your skills and knowledge - do you have a hobby you could share, or are you handy with DIY? Please let us know if you think there's something you could offer.
  • Volunteer to help at an event. We are always grateful for help before, during and after events. Have a look at our upcoming events calendar below and let us know if you can help.
  • Have an idea to help boost our fundraising? We're always happy to hear new ideas.
  • Are you able to help us apply for grants or seek out raffle prizes? This really boosts our fundraising and any help is much appreciated.
  • We always welcome new members to our PTFA committee. We're very realistic that not everyone can attend every meeting or help at every event but everyone is always welcome to join us at any time and we always welcome new ideas and suggestions.

If you would like to get involved, you can come along to a meeting, find us on Facebook or approach one of the PTFA committee members in the playground.
